Where We Come From

Founded by R. Kent Basnett, KBI Construction Management opened for business in 1990 as a small tenant finish company. By 1998, KBI Construction was a full service general construction company serving Tulsa and the surrounding areas, successfully managing commercial, industrial and institutional projects.

Today, Kent continues to oversee the direction of the company as CEO. KBI is family owned and operated, with the family’s construction heritage tracing back five generations. Solid teamwork between ownership and project managers guarantees excellent customer service and quality projects.

Commitment to community is a strong part of our fabric at KBI. We are proud to support organizations such as Susan G. Komen, Emergency Infant Services, CASA and the Tulsa Glassblowing School, among others.
